↠ BASICS
the kingslayer / cursed lord of house darrowbane.
TIBERIUS is a very old original character that dates back to the time of Persona 3 RPGs on LiveJournal (circa 2008). Originally going by "Touta Kappugawa", Tiberius has seen many lives and forms and alternate universes. Most notably he had a stunt in Dungeons and Dragons, World of Warcraft, a continuing Persona 4 variant, and finally his most recent rendition of an original character.
His original canon is quite vast, but can be easily altered to fit RP/DnD backgrounds as needed! There following commends are all details for his backstory and major points of history. He is usually played after most major events, but things can be swapped around for mun preference!
That being said, Tiberius is not the easiest person to get along with. He generally treats everyone around him as if they are incompetent or lacking common sense. He has trust issues and keeps himself emotionally distant from those around him. Most of his backstory is generally shrouded in mystery In-Character, save for a few that know it. Tiberius does care to a certain extent, and generally just needs to be given a reason to care about the events going on around him. Otherwise he'll simply move on.

THE STORY OF THE DARROWBANES is one of turmoil, and the stage for how young Tiberius's fate would be shaped.
Barthon Darrowbane was firstborn of the family. Their family ruled as lords in the northern part of the already northern kingdom of Nokturm. As the tradition and rule of the land, Barthon was to not only inherit the title of Lord Darrowbane, but the Knight-Protector of the King. He would enter the knighthood and personal guard of the King until his father's own death, where he would take over the House and his firstborn would become the Knight-Protector upon their coming of age. Barthon, however, rejected the notion. He wished to be more individual and see a reformation among the operations of Nokturm and her noble houses. When the idea was refused numerous times, Barthon disappeared into the night. He never saw a member of his family again.
With Barthon's disappearance, the younger sister entered the Knight-Protectorship. Aranruth Darrowbane was poised to become a strong figure among the noble houses. She inherited the title of Lady Darrowbane, as well as the family heirloom sword and ring. Unlike most of her family, Aranruth split her time between her duties as Lady Darrowbane and the Knight-Protector of King Tomias I - newly crowned King of Nokturm. Tomias saw Aranruth as one of his strongest allies and closest confidants for the first few years of his rule.
Barthon, meanwhile, had entered the south-east Kingdom of Enous. The Kingdom was warm compared to the northern lands of Nokturm. He adjusted well and settled as a local swordsmith. Eventually he married a local inn-keeper named Afia. Together they had only one son: Celon Tiberius Riverston. The three lived happily in Tiberius's younger years until karma finally caught up with Barthon.
Religious strife was sweeping Enous. Backed by the old church and current Queen, paranoia and mania quickly became at the heart of the Kingdom. Neighbors turned one another in for small or perceived offenses. Those from other Kingdoms were driven out or arrested to make sure their loyalties were to the Queen of Enous. Such a fate would befall the Riverstons. Barthon was arrested on suspicion of religious conspiracy, only fueled more when they learned that he was of a noble house of the north. Barthon was executed with several others, and his home burned and land claimed. Afia managed to hide the young Tiberius - too young to understand what was going on - but was murdered while fighting for her inn.
Young Tiberius was orphaned and eventually taken in by a former charity turned orphanage. He grew up with several friends on the streets, but never allowed himself to be too close to them. His caretakers informed him of his bloodline and thus urged him to keep it a secret for his own safety. Tiberius would learn to lie, cheat, steal, and cause problems for the local armed forces. Tiberius would have to leave the orphanage as a preteen with his small group of rag-tags once the orphanage was forced to take on more and more children due to the continued religious purge. They formed a pact symbol and each had it carved or tattooed onto their arm to signify where they had come from and that they had survived the world around them.
